Take your half marahon to a new level and go for that sub two hour goal! This 12 week plan will give you a detailed guide as you work through weekly runs, workouts, and long runs, all designed to help you reach that next big race milestone!
Week 1: Base Building
- Monday: Rest or 3 miles easy or off
- Tuesday: 4-5 miles easy
- Wednesday: 10 minute tempo run (10 easy warm up, 10 minutes at tempo pace, 10 minutes easy) - feel out the effort, the goal is to help establish a baseline moving forward. For all tempos try to go at or just faster than your goal race pace
- Thursday: Off, cross-training or 2-3 miles easy
- Friday: 3-5 miles easy
- Saturday: Off
- Sunday: 6-7 miles long run at a comfortable pace
